It’s here! We made it! I know it’s cliche to say, but I can’t believe this year is just about over. It’s been SUCH a beautiful year for our family, one that I feel undeserving of. There were so many highs and lows, tears and laughter, and great memories filled with adventures for us, both personally and professionally. For this particular post, I wanted to take a look back at some of my favorite wedding images from 2013 with you all. It’s so much fun to remember each wedding, each couple, and all those special moments I got to create for my clients & friends. I am so thankful for every single engagement, wedding, family, and person that I photographed and I wish you could somehow see how grateful you’ve all made my heart. I know each and every job is a blessing from above, but I feel especially blessed to have a job that I love with all my being. Every time I leave a wedding or a photoshoot, I’m filled with such appreciation for that gift. I grew up watching my parents work hard and do whatever necessary to make our family feel safe, fed, and happy. It wasn’t always a job they loved or thrived in, but it was a job and for that, they were grateful. Being a photographer is not easy… wedding days are stressful, late nights are not uncommon, and back aches come with the gig, but gosh I love it. And I feel lucky for that.
2013, thank you for being so good to me and my family. All I can pray for is that 2014 will be just as blessed. It’s with so much appreciation that I want to share a few (okay, way more than a few) of my favorite photographs from this year’s weddings with you all and send out a big HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all! May it be big, joyous, dream-filled, healthy, and filled with love!
Fun fact: some of these weddings I have yet to share and my sweet Emerson even makes an appearance in one of them!
This is my favorite dress shot of the year below, and it just so happens to be my sister-in-law’s. It may have to do something with Emerson’s little tux hanging next to hers. ;)
When you have your own blog, you can totally play favorites and end blog posts with one of your adorable son admiring his aunties’s wedding dress. Happy New Year everyone!!! xox
