What better way to officially start the weekend than with a wedding as lovely as this? Michelle & Jonny were married in Chicago this past summer and though it feels like just yesterday, I’m sure the cooler temperatures have them dreaming of weather as perfect as they had that day. Besides the warmth of the day, there was an even warmer blanket of love covering them from every direction. Michelle wanted Jonny to see her for the first time on the lawn of the home she grew up in. As her family looked on from the front door and through the windows, I could literally feel their hearts growing with happiness. There is a respect that Jonny has for his wife that was so beautiful to see… a deep admiration and a love to be desired by all. After their beautiful wedding (one of the largest I’d ever done at over 900 people!!), we leisurely walked the city of Chicago, stopping to take photos and capture the best part of their day, their love.
Michelle & Jonny, you two are an inspiration to us. Your kindness, your gentleness with one another, the respect you show each other and those around you, and the spirit of God that reflects through you both was such a blessing for Adi & I to photograph and witness. We adore you both and we wish you a lifetime of warmth, love, and blankets covering you in joyous moments.
Michelle kept and dried these roses from when they were dating and I thought it was just so sweet.
Their first look was so special. With both of their families looking on, they saw each other for the first time as bride and groom. This was not only a moment to be forever remembered by their families, but it also allowed for more time to capture family formals before the ceremony in front of the home Michelle grew up in.
Michelle is one of the most refined, timeless beauties I’ve ever met. And we can’t forget about Jonny, who is quite handsome as well, though telling him that makes him blush. ;)
Michelle’s adorable nephews were too much. I nearly died with all that cuteness.
Ever wonder what a reception of over 900 people looks like? Jonny is heavily involved in ministry and studied theology to one day be a pastor at his church. His & Michelle’s involvement is a true testament to why this felt so intimate, despite the large amount of guests.
These girls… so beautiful… and pretty fabulous too.
Below, my most favorite bridal party shot. Ever.
Dear Chicago, you are the perfect backdrop.
I adore this:
These two belong together… and in a bridal magazine of sorts.
