One of the biggest perks to my job is the travel. Sure, I’m a total sap about all things weddings, the love story, and the details, but the travel!!! Oh, we just love it! Last year, the beautiful Nazaneen and Stephen brought me and my dear friend Lauren to Mexico and boy did we viva it up (three years of Spanish and I’m pretty sure I got that wrong)! Looking back, there was so much heart behind this wedding and so much love surrounded this special couple, that even the weather reflected the array of emotions. From sunshine to happy showers to rainbows, it was an incredible event to witness and be a part of. Nazaneen & Stephen, your love brought joy to my heart in so many ways. All the ways that others love you and support you filled me with gratitude for relationships. The softness and kindness you displayed to everyone around you was so humbling and beautiful to witness. I can’t thank you enough for having us and wish you both a life long journey filled with sunny skies, showers of blessings, and rainbows of promise.
Here are the details to their perfect destination wedding:
After a few morning showers had passed, I asked Nazaneen to put her dress on outside on her balcony, where we were met with some gusts of wind that did beautiful things to her dress.
Nazaneen looked absolutely breathtaking….
THAT. DRESS. Oh my word, it had layers and layers of soft blush tulle and was absolute perfection. And the wind made for some of my favorite getting ready photos yet.
Their first look was perfect and Nazaneen was just so adorable twirling around basking in Stephen’s adoration.
The ceremony site was decorated with traditional elements that celebrated Nazaneen’s family’s Persian culture. The wedding merged Nazaneen and Stephen’s Iranian-English background and it was so interesting to witness it all.
Just as Nazaneen walked down the aisle, the sky revealed the prettiest rainbow and everyone squealed with delight.
So much joy in the proclamation of husband and wife!
Absolutely love the eeriness of the river and the gloomy weather combined with that stunning dress… this was one of my favorite shots of the day.
A few tears were shed after some heartfelt speeches, followed by an entire night of laughter and dancing and celebrating!
