What is your photography style?
My style is romantic, soft, and natural with a clean, modern feel. I am inspired by nature, art, history, architecture, fashion, editorial photography, and of course, love.
Where are you located?
We live in beautiful, sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida. However, we love traveling and filling up our passports, so destination weddings are always welcomed.
How much do you charge for wedding day coverage?
Because planning a wedding can be overwhelming and because I believe that less is more, I've created one collection that includes all the necessary basics (and more) for a great price! Of course, we can always customize it to better suite your needs so let's discuss! Send me an email to find out more.
What is your rate for overtime hours?
We charge $350 per each hour exceeding what your collection & contract is for.
How long after the wedding does it take to get all our wedding images?
It takes about 6-8 weeks for delivery of your completed edited images.
How many images do we get from an average wedding day?
For a typical 8 hour wedding day with two photographers present, you will receive between 700-1,000 images. This number can vary depending on the wedding schedule and amount of details, but I personally select the very best photos to deliver to you.
Can we see all of the photos taken on that day?
Goodness, no. The photos that weren’t delivered to you are most likely duplicates with your eyes closed or your father enjoying that wedding cake a little too much—both of which are better left tucked away in my hard drive. You’re welcome.
Do I get the rights to all the images?
Absolutely! You will get a photo release with your delivered photos that will enable you to print any quantity and any size you’d like.
Do you touch up all your photos?
Every photo is edited for color correction, saturation, and lighting. However, I am not a “photoshopper” so please know that I do not perform extensive editing on skin or have the ability to photoshop grandma into a photo. If only I was that skilled.
Do you have an assistant photographer?
Yes. If you'd like to add an assistant photographer, I typically photograph with my husband, Adrian, whom you’ll hear me call Adi or handsome-face. If for any reason he cannot be there, I will have another photographer accompany me on your wedding day.
Do you help me plan out our wedding day schedule?
Absolutely! I actually prefer to be involved with the timeline so that I can best guide you in terms of lighting and setting aside enough time for photos. My goal is to ensure that we get lots of great images of your day while you relax and enjoy it all. If a planner is involved, I will happily work alongside him or her to make sure everything goes down smoother than a milkshake.
Do you suggest a first look for the wedding day?
Always. Truth is, wedding days are stressful and time is of the essence. There aren’t very many opportunities where a bride and a groom get to share a few private, precious moments together, either. Opting for a first look not only allows you that opportunity, but it also maximizes time for portraits without the added pressure of rushing. Ultimately, this translates to less stress and more time enjoying your guests and your wedding.
Do you take formal family portraits?
Yes. I treasure the photos of my late grandmother from my own wedding more than anything so I know firsthand how precious and meaningful those family portraits are. Because of this, we recommend that you put together a full list of family groupings for us at least 2 weeks prior to your wedding day. This ensures that we don’t leave anyone out and that you have a photo of all your loved ones. Also, if you opt for a first look, we recommend you do all bridal and family portraits during that time frame in a beautiful, naturally lit setting.
Should we give you a shot list prior to the wedding?
We appreciate and recommend a family shot list to help everyone stay organized, keep things moving quickly, and make sure Uncle Jesse wasn’t left out. Any other shot list is unnecessary as that would just distract us from photographing the details and the day as it unfolds naturally. I’m a total girl about details and have a decent dose of OCD so rest assure, we are capturing everything we see.
Do you need a meal at our reception?
Please and thank you.
How can I reserve my wedding date?
We are happy to reserve your date once a contract is signed and a 50% deposit (retainer fee) of your total wedding package is received.
What if we cancel our wedding or change our date after we signed a contract?
In the event that you cancel your wedding, the 50% retainer fee is non-refundable. Once you sign the contract, we reserve your date exclusively and turn down all other possible business. If you change your date and we have it available, we will make the proper adjustments without an additional fee.
Do you offer discounts for weekdays or off season weddings?
We pour our hearts and souls into your day and photograph it exactly as we would a weekend or in season wedding, so unfortunately, we do not offer any discounts.
What do albums look like and how does the design process work?
In a world filled with digital files, hard drives, and social media, I adore when I see someone actually holding their photos in an album. I imagine that book being passed down from generation to generation and to me, no hard drive can compete with that. I love the look of clean, simple, modern designs with a classic feel. We offer beautifully crafted styles in either leather or fabric with thick, durable pages and the photos directly printed onto them. You can either select the photos yourself or let us tell your story. Once the design layout of the album is approved by you, it takes around 6-8 weeks for your album to be delivered.
Do you photograph the rehearsal dinner?
We don’t typically photograph the rehearsal dinner unless requested for an additional charge.
Do you travel?
Of course! We absolutely love to travel and we would be happy to follow you around the world. You can inquire here about our destination wedding collections.
If I’m located out of state or country, can you still take my engagement photos?
Yes, of course. I look at engagement sessions as the dress rehearsal to the wedding day. It gives you the chance to become comfortable with being in front of the camera and gives us time to get to know each other, all while having a great time. If we are unable to arrange for the photoshoot beforehand, we will fly in early for your wedding and take the photos two days prior to your big day (in this case, we kindly ask that you provide proper accommodations for the extra days).
How do we pick a location for our engagement session?
I encourage my couples to select a location that is meaningful to them, while keeping in mind that I am a natural light photographer. Narrow down the look you’d like and begin your search there (romantic, urban, modern, natural, etc.). I’m happy to help by recommending locations if I’m familiar with the area or giving you my thoughts on places you are considering. I encourage you to steer clear of places in which a permit is needed, unless previously arranged.
How long do engagement sessions take and can we take the photos on the weekend?
An average engagement session is between 1-2 hours and we like to begin 2 hours prior to sunset. We usually reserve weekends for weddings and if possible, we ask that you please make the proper work arrangements ahead of time so that we can photograph your engagement session during the week.
Can I book you for an engagement session only?
Sure! We charge $500 for a 2 hour engagement session, same as our lifestyle sessions.
What are lifestyle sessions?
So glad you asked! I adore, love, swoon over, heart, and every other adjective you can think of, lifestyle sessions. I’d like to think of them as photo sessions that capture the essence and the beauty of your life in the right now. I often look back at photos of my parents and daydream about what life must have been like for them. Seeing how they dressed, how young and new their love was, and how incredibly breathtaking my mother was and dashingly handsome my father was, leaves me thankful for that small window into their “once upon a time”. So, whether you’d like photos of you and your husband as you’re about to embark on the adventure of your lives, or of your family in your new home, or you’re a confident woman who wants to celebrate her independence and beauty, a lifestyle session is the perfect way to remember this special time in your life.
Can I re-post your photos on my blog or Facebook?
Please do! All I ask for is a simple link back to me and if you’d like to blog the session, I’d appreciate an email asking first about posting weddings or engagement sessions. The reason I ask this is because sometimes, I have a submission to other blogs/magazines and I need to wait before posting any photos. Thank you in advance!
How long have you been doing this and how did you start?
I’ve been photographing on my own for 5 years now. When I was in school studying Interior Design, I picked up a camera and began photographing for fun. One day, I got an email requesting to do a wedding and I’ve never looked back. Besides loving what I do, I get to be creative, design, and be a special part of someone’s most important, beautiful day. In my opinion, there’s kind of nothing better and I would love nothing more than to be a part of your story.
